The primary goal of SafetyNet Behavioral Healthcare is to equip the residents in our care with the tools and support they need to make positive changes in their lives. We recognize that residents in our care need a multi-level approach to therapy, and we accommodate that by providing individual, group and family therapy. As youth experience positive change we want to show them the unlimited potential they have to succeed and return to the community, and support them through their entire journey.
SafetyNet is a residential program that offers long-term treatment for youth ages 10 to 18 with ongoing behavioral, emotional and/or psychiatric needs. SafetyNet is designed to help youth develop trusting relationships, better understand their emotions and behaviors and develop coping skills. It is also a place for youth to learn respect and care for others, responsibility for past and present actions, and how to encourage others to do the same. Residents are primarily referred by local DHR offices across the state of Alabama. Other referral sources include the Multiple Needs Child Office or private paying individuals.
